The Russian Civil War was fought between the Red Army and the White Army.
Basic Information
The Russian Civil War took place between 1917-1923. Events that sparked this conflict were the fall of the Russian Empire's provisional government and the Bolsheviks taking over. The Bolsheviks were strongly united and made up the Red Army. On the other side was the poorly united White Army which was made up anti-Bolsheviks. Also many other nations joined in the war; they sold their forces as mercenaries or fought for a side which had their best interests in mind. Other armies fought both the Red and White Armies, others even switched sides. Conflict in the war was also not completely confined to Russia; battles were fought in Persia and Mongolia. Ultimately the Red Army was victorious.
Post War Information
It is estimated that over 15 million people were killed during the Russian Civil War. A large amount of them died of widespread starvation, raging typhus and other diseases, or were just living in the wrong city at the wrong time and were massacred. Even after the war typhus was still running rampant and droughts destroyed many crops further exhausting the Russian government, the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federalist Socialist Republic). The new Communist Government assumed complete control over Russia; they began to focus their efforts on reducing riots and protests. They began to turn their attention to strengthening the new Communist Country.

January 1st 1918 - I find it so confusing as to why these foolish members of the Red Army would act so rashly and quickly. OBviously as many know the current situation of many in Russia is not ideal. War is ugly and it takes time, even after war things take years to get abck to the way they were. If any of them knew a thing they would have relized the best course of action was to slowly change the government not to just begin capturing cities. I hope I make it out this war alive.
September 19th 1920 - Today was a great day for the Red Army and for our Russia, we continue to crush the White Army in Siberia. Unfortunatley as in individual my situation in the army continues to deteriorate. Fighting in Siberia was possibly the worst idea that we have ever had, the bitter cold makes every night and day an eternity. I have lost many friends in this long struggle, I do not wish to lose more. We have been on alert as of lately, multiple outbeaks of typhus have occured and everyone is warry. Most of us no longer about the White Army for they are weak, our streched supply lines and raging illness is the scariest thing at the moment.
July 26th 1922 - Foolish Japanese forces, I am getting sick of their vain attempts to assert control over Siberia. I have already crushed the White Army and they are no match for the new Russia. We shall wait till winter and then press the attack. They do not know the Russian winter just as Napoleon and they to will fall before its might as a joint attack between the elements and my soldiers crush them.

Hah. Its about time you felt my pain. I was exiled for my failure to capture you. Finally you get your @#$%^ handed to you by yourselves! Now you feel my pain, you stupid Russians. Its just too bad that your lousy winter didnt stop me or this whole conflict could have been avoided. Just think you could be speaking French, the most beautiful language in the world. You call that a civil war. Arnt civil wars supposed to be fought within a country? You hired mercenaries from all over to fight your fight for you, how pathetic. A tleast when we did it we did it right. Anyway I think you owe typhus a big thanks, it fought most of the fight for both sides. So... next time you feel the need to start a civil war please do it right.

What the h$%^ is wrong with you! We fought for you and then during the war and then you just attack us! Seriously why and after you had to add salt to the wound by attacking us after the war is over. Whatever you huge land mass I dont even know you name anymore. Why dont you just go try and absorb China while I sleep in my countries growing economic depression.

What are we going to do with you... You guys never really won a war, Crimean War, the Great War, even the Russo-Japanese War you lost. In order to prove your might you decided to fight yourself. What jolly good fun, perhaps we could talk about more ridiculous ideas over some tea and crumpets. Actually scratch that idea chap since my cousin or anyone with royal blood is no longer in charge of you I dont really want to be associated with you. I suppose we could chat breifly at the League of Nations, what a joke, but thats about it. Have fun you filthy inbred rulers =).

Think about this for a second, do you really need more land. You can hardly control half of it, why couldnt you just let us have some of it, especially and area that is not particularly desireable. We would have bought it from you. But no you are as dumb as ever, do you really need Siberia? I think not. We do, as much as I love volcanic rocks and rice patties we could make some acutal use out of that land unlike you. You missed a great oppurtunity to get rid of some undesireable land.
